What is IDEA?
IDEA stands for Innovation, Design, Engineering, Art. It is a class offered at the Waunakee Community High school in its Innovation Center (see below). In the class, students create many original projects using various modern technologies (e.g. 3D printers, lasers, etc.), but that is a very generic definition. Much more is accomplished for a student taking this class than just learning how to use machines. To illustrate, the class is designed to promote creativity and ingenuity in the students. This helps them expand their minds and discover new ways of thinking; this class assists students in finding out what they are truly capable of. I am a student in this class, and in this website I will document my journey through the course. Both my successes as well as my failures will be shown here all for the purpose of expressing how my mind has improved due to this class.
The Innovation CenterThe Waunakee High School Innovation Center was first opened in September of 2016 and has been a great tool for students' learning ever since. In its highly sophisticated lab, classes are taught that promote creativity and ingenuity in all students. It is a great addition to the Waunakee Community High school.
